      VS 1.2.005 Mac Intel
      macOS Catalina 10.15.7
      MacBookAir5,2 (13-inch, Mid 2012)

      If you duplicate a shape by option + drag. Some of its attributes cannot be changed.
      For example, if you duplicate a rectangle and try to change its paint, you will not be able to do so.
      If you duplicate a shape using Tramsform or Edit>Duplicate, you can.
      If you duplicate a text frame in the same way, the behavior is even more puzzling.
      If I change the font of the duplicate, it changes the font of the source.

      Is my VS broken or is there a setting for that somewhere?

        @861475_VctSt No changes were made in Settings > Modifier Keys?
        Still happens if you click 'Restore keys' there?

        MacBook Pro (Intel) running Monterey 12.6.4

            @VectorStyler

            Thanks.

            I was able to solve it.
            Settings > Nudgig was set to Reference.
            I may have unintentionally changed it sometime ago.
