'Layer from group' and 'Release to layers' don't seem to work

While checking if anything has changed with the new release (ie also comments from earlier post https://www.vectorstyler.com/forum/topic/3697/release-to-layers-seq-designed-this-way)
Now it seems that none of these features are working at all (greyed-out).

@Ayo Is the group selected in the Layers panel? Remember that on canvas and layer panel selections are different.

Selected is selected in my opinion.
What is the difference and can it be understood from the perspective of user conventions? -

In VS, by default, the objects selected on canvas are not selected in the layers panel. There is a different highlight to indicate the canvas vs layer selection.
You need to click+select in the layers panel for commands of the layers panel.It is also possible to synchronize (automatically) the canvas and layer panel selection using the layers panel options

Layers panel menu > Panel Options > Highlight Selected

'Highlight Selected' I assume.Tooltip says:
'select to automatically highligt objects that are selected in the document'Is that the same as:
'select to automatically select/highlight objects that are selected on the canvas'?Maybe better tooltip?
Selection vivid blue is not updated (vivid) if you select object and unfold layer after selection. Radio button does indicate correct.
