Color panel does not auto-collapse when clicked away from

I noticed in beta 7 and still with beta version 8, that when the panels are collapsed into icon view, if I open the color panel, it will not auto collapse if i click away from it like the other panels do. Is this intentional or just a bug?

The iconified panels stay open, until you click on the icon again. This did not change from before.
