Display text size in points

My basic units are set to inches. Given that, when setting text, the properties shown for text height are also labeled in inches, rather than points. But the drop-down shows points. And the size shown in inches is not correct, either: for 24 pt text, the size shows as 33 inches.
Can this be controlled somewhere? For most letter-sized projects, I'd prefer text size in points, although I can think of use cases where I would want size in inches - sign-making, for example. (And pixels, for UI design.)

The 24 pt size should show as 0.33 inch (maybe the field is small and the 0. is not visible).
Will add a separate unit option for font sizes as this is a problem.
