Temporary guides for aligning text on a path

When using the text on path tool and adjusting the text on the path, I use the bottom line of the selection box to check that the text aligns perfectly on both sides.

I was wondering if there was a way to add a temporary line guide for when text aligns with the other side? Maybe a continuation of the way things can be aligned and assumed in the vector program "graphite" that I mentioned in this forum post: https://www.vectorstyler.com/forum/topic/4709/additional-guide-options-while-using-pen-tool

Alternatively - is there a way to snap text on a path to a guideline? I set the snapping to guideline but when I move the text, it does not register a snap

I think this operation should be the same as the function of adjusting the text spacing in my post.
