Option for a major space saving UI layout when using small screen devices like laptops

Is there an option in settings to set the UI for a small screen? I work part of the time on my 16 inch macbook pro and when I do so, even when VS is at full size, I am missing several options in the top men panels.

Would it be possible to have a version of the UI that is focused on reducing the sizing and putting more tools into dropdowns due to a lack of screen size? the first thought I had was a "mobile UI" but we're not talking about phones here - just the concept of a space saving UI that the user could select for very small screens
