Place Objects randomly in VectorStyler, Nodebox and Paragraphics
Did a little showcase using VectorStyler, Nodebox and Paragraphics
how to scale and rotate Objects randomly. Each of them have some
ways to place, rotate, scale Objects randomly. But each one in a
slightly different way and with their own possibilities.I´ll show only just basic possibilities, of course much more is
possible with all of them. File exchange works via SVG also
PDF (Nodebox).

VectorStyler (PC/Mac)
Many Features in VectorStyler offers a randomize option.
Here two Basic ones.Using the Transform Panel, video

Using the Repeater Panel, video

Nodebox (PC/Mac, free)
Is somewhat unsual because you create vector graphics via Nodes.
It may look a little unintuitive and requires somtimes a little thought
about how the data flows. But this approach offers a lot of
flexibility, especially for Pattern creation.Made this Thread about it, a while ago

The Scatter Node place Objects randomly inside the Area of another Object

Paragraphic (PC/Mac/Linux)
This Program use also a kind of Nodes to create vector graphics
but in a different way. The handling may somewhat simpler then
in Nodebox, but it offers a suprising deepness if you look closer.
It have also has some vector graphics Tools like a Pen Tool which
Nodebox doesnt have. Sadly it have no Boolean Options, but
VectorStyler offers a lot of options for that.Made also a Thread about it a while ago

@Subpath I pay attention to the Paragraphic program and find that many of its functions are close to those of VS, and it is easier to operate. Unfortunately, there is no PC version, but I believe that most of these functions can be achieved in version 1.3. I'm happy about that.

... Unfortunately, there is no PC version ...
Unfortunately, that isnt right; I use the PC version.
Paragraphic is, to my knowledge, the only program from
Lost Minds that works on the PC too.Your right many things are also possible in VectorStyler, and many
are even only possible in VectorStyler. But upon closer inspection,
you can see that Paragraphic also has a lot to offer.Just watch a few YouTube videos on their channel. From the
program itself, you can also download example files from their
website to see how something was built.
