Should Eraser keep selection Active?

Would it make sense to have VS keep an object selected when the eraser is set to "selection-only" I think I would be in favor of this. Right now as my video shows, if I have something selected and use the eraser, it drops the selection after the eraser is used once.

@VectorStyler I apologize, I realized I must have switched it away from "selection" to "layer" when testing and did not switch it back as I thought I had.
