      I searched the documentation for this command, but it wasn't there. This isn't a bug, so I'm posting this here (sorry if it doesn't belong here). I'd like to know what exactly this command does, especially after using the Contour tool.

        @MrDixioner I will add this to the documentation.

        For the Contour effect: expand appearance will expand the contour into a group of objects containing the shapes used to create the contour.

              always gladly, nice that it was helpful

              Btw, double left click on a tool icon brings
              up a little panel where you could change
              the settings of a tool.

              Try also different Tools this way.
