Shape Builder : Option to use color of first shape

When using the shape builder, the newly created shape takes the fill color defined in the color panel. This is useful.
Often, I find myself using the shape builder tool to merge already colored regions to simplify the design and I would rather prefer the shape builder to use the color of the first selected shape instead of the current fill/stroke colors.
Could we have an option to get this behaviour ? That would be similar to the Affinity shape builder tool : https://somup.com/cTl62NRATn
