Missing Core "Format Control Characters" (Layout Triggers) for Text Engine(v1.3.020)
-
VectorStyler 1.3.xxx already has a wonderful selection of special character inputs implemented.
However, it is a mystery to me why the following essential DTP characters are missing—or perhaps they are just hidden and I simply haven't been able to find them yet:
Column Break (U+000B) Frame Break (U+000C) Indent to Here (U+0007)Since I am a designer and not a programmer, I asked an AI assistant to help me compile the precise Unicode points and English terms for these practical layout needs.
Are these characters already tucked away somewhere, or could they be considered for a future update to complete the DTP workflow?
Best regards,

@861475_VctSt I will add these to the features backlog (will need a bit more that just inserting the character).

Understood. I see now that my understanding was a bit simple—this request isn't just about inserting a character, but about inputting a trigger to control the layout engine itself.
UI-wise, this means it belongs under something like "Text > Layout Control" (which doesn't exist yet) rather than "Text > Insert Character." No wonder it takes a lot of heavy lifting under the hood!
Since I couldn’t find them even after a thorough search, I now understand why they weren't implemented even as hidden features.
Thank you for adding them to the backlog. Looking forward to it!
