    Shouldn't text on path alignment "ascent" setting have text sitting right on path?

      Creating text on a path at the top and bottom of this circle, the top text is set to "baseline" alignment and it touches the path highlighted. The bottom text is on the same path but I had flipped the text around and set it to "ascent" alignment. Shouldn't the ascent text also be touching the baseline at the top of the letters?

        @Boldline Yes, text should align to the path with its cap height.

        MacBook Pro (Intel) running Monterey 12.6.4

          @vectoradmin Actually… to avoid confusion you could include 'Cap Height' as a 5th option. Currently 'Ascent' aligns the text to the Ascender value of the font and can also be needed.

            @Boldline Yes it should align. What font is that? I will try to check if the cap height is read right.
