Adding a Shape Effect - button has died

@Boldline Thanks, I just don't want to annoy you guys;). But this app is really promising for my workflow.
I think something sits in the preferences config file I have created.
I reinstalled the app, then loaded back my config and got the same result. After "Restore Default" it seems to work fine. Now I'm gonna slowly adjust my earlier changes to pinpoint the cause.

@VectorStyler I 've done all you've said and more, cleaned the registry, several machine restarts. At the moment it seems like some entry in saved settings. Gonna look around, thanks!

@plrang It is possible to save VS settings with the Preference Files -> Save to File menu (in Edit menu on Windows).
The resulting file contains preference changes of VS, it is a human readable XML file. Send me that file by email to csraba at vectorstyler.com, this could be a bug.Also, the same might be caused by the workspace changes, that can be saved to a file from the View -> Workspaces menu.
This looks like a bug, and it would be great to know how to replicate it, so that it can be fixed

I have been saving the config from time to time and just sent you the faulty one in an email, If you want I can also send you the current working one, after the initial changes I needed to make it work comfortably.
Maybe that faulty config gonna tell you why those FONT PREVIEWS in the font selector are misaligned. -

@plrang Got the settings file, and found the issue:
Do not remove the "[user]vector/data/presets/" folder in preset folders.
The list of effects shown in the menu are actually presets (one effect per one preset) and if the default preset folder is removed, these are not shown anymore.
I will make this default folder automatic. -

@VectorStyler yes.. I just wanted to have a nice home for MY presets in a safe folder. That was a trap.;)

@plrang A bit about working with presets in VS:
- VS saves multiple presets of the same kind (e.g. patterns, or brushes) into the same file.
- Some of the default presets are in the application user folder (depending on the system).
- Different preset types will go into separate files.
- New folders can be added in the Preset Manager (Styles menu) to define new Preset Groups.
- When creating / saving presets, the Preset Group must be selected (along with the preset name), and this will determine which folder / preset file the created preset ends up.
- By default there are 2 preset groups: "Presets" is the global preset group stored in the application user folder, and "Document" is a preset group stored in the document file and visible only for that document.

@VectorStyler I understand, any reasons to grant the access to it? I'm just curious. I am not using default Windows directories for my documents and settings, so it was natural for me to change it. If there is no warning or a description that it's a system folder it may cause problems. (But I see you're going to make it auto, just asking)

@plrang I will have to make the system folder settings hidden and not removable. The problem is that besides the usual presets, there is a lot of other UI function (including the effect list) stored as presets and these should not be removed.

@plrang This problem should be fixed in 1.1.049, now it is not possible to remove the default folders.
