    There is a workaround that requires using Shape Corner in the Effects panel. However, this only works if all four corners of the rectangle have the same radius. If the corner sizes are inconsistent, Shape Corner doesn't allow for individual corner adjustment, and you have to use the Corner panel instead, which makes this workaround unusable for that scenario. https://youtu.be/akNbqo8wqo8

    @VectorStyler Awesome! thanks for checking that. I'm guessing @li-xiao has a similar workspace setting that allows it to occur on his computer as well.

    @VectorStyler This is the pdf I get from File->Export->pdf. Gray square shows up when I view it with Apple's Preview app. I can send it via email if you like. Same address as the crash dump I sent earlier? BTW: This isn't a fatal bug. I can still work by copy/paste. The drag and drop function is doing something odd. VS_doc.pdf

    @VectorStyler which is the actual repeater feature that this should be in, is it the "Geometry Adjustments"? yes does this mean that for example 4 adjustments take values from 4 different regions? Yes, in most cases they are in different regions, but there are also overlapping parts. For these overlapping areas, it would be best if the effects could stack together, just like they do with many Shape Effects. some example cases on how would this work It's similar to a morphing effect, much like what's described here (https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Showing-the-conventional-2D-display-subpixels-behind-a-slanted-lenticular-lens-sheet_fig2_341806198). The main difference is that I use laser equipment to engrave the graphics directly onto the material, but the underlying principle is very similar to synthesizing composite images for a lenticular lens sheet.

    @VectorStyler I tested this on a base model Mac mini M4. Moving the text in the top left corner is perfectly smooth at first. However, moving the masked object in the bottom right causes lag.
