Grouped set of Objects auto-un-groups?

If I group a set of objects, I can move them as one unit around the page without a problem. If I then click on it a second time using the transform tool, it moves that individual object and the grouping seems to have disappeared... they are all individual shapes again.
I would think the grouping command would be maintained no matter what I did until I
un-grouped it again myself. -
@Boldline Yes the tool mode in the context panel is set to direct selection mode. The first icon should be checked. (the video shows the second icon).

ok - i think i see what you mean - I am checking that out now - it may solve the other post I just made and allowing for individual shape edits and moving within an existing grouping
update: yes that was my issue.. I was able to use the context panel options to achieve what i wanted with that. I like the dialed down specificity of each option and how it's all within the transform tool. It will take my brain a little time to re-learn it!
