I have had a problem with this since .053
Occurs only in this application.MacBook Air M4 24Gb, Tahoe 26.2

Isn't it something about the space between paragraphs ? I mean "enter" can change paragraph (with a specified space) while "shift+enter" just goes to the next line. It's common in a lot of software.
I just edited. Doesn't happen here (0.053 on mac)

i know such a behavior only in Mind Mapping Software
never saw this in Vector graphics -
It is not uncommon for word processors and other software on the Mac to interpret the return key as starting the next paragraph and the enter key (numeric keypad) or shift+return as inserting a line feed within the paragraph.
One example of where a line feed might be preferred is when working with bulleted lists: a line feed would allow for vertical spacing within a bullet item, without actually adding a new bullet.

Don't have that much to do with word processors
and probably that's the reason why I haven't seen
this kind of behavior so often -
