Inconsistent Colour Editing

When editing an object's colour using the Color panel, changes happen in real time and I do get a live preview. Even when I double-click on the swatch located on the Color panel to open the Color modal window, I still get a live preview of my edits as long as the Preview box is ticked. Note that I am talking of non-global colours here.
The result is different though when I try to edit the colour from the Swatches panel. If I double-click on the swatch box, I also get the same Color modal window, but without the live feedback. The object's colour is only updated after clicking Ok.
We do have some inconsistencies here.

@William-Kansepa Yes, this behaves differently. The main issue is that when editing a color in the palette, previewing would result in a document wide change, which is somewhat more expensive, so preview is not available for now.
