Duplicate stops functioning after a session of VS use

I wanted to bring this up under the topic of issues that work well and then stop working the longer a VS session goes on. The duplicate keyboard shortcut will duplicate the selected object, but not replicate the movement of that prior step, so all duplicates end of stacking one on top of the next. If i save the file and quit VS and reopen, the problem goes away agin for a period of time
