Seems that the ability to re-arrange open file window tabs has broken - on Mac at least ?

      Tell me it's not a pref 🙂

@Igull Not it is not a preference.
Can you detach a document by dragging from the tab?

@Igull Something is broken in the VS settings / workspace there. Try backing up the settings.xml and workspace.xml files are remove them (with VS not running).

Never used this so no idea how it worked or how to use it, but I see the same behaviour that @Igull does.

However, I can drag the tab to the bottom of the screen or over layers docked on the side and then it is detatched.
View -> Arrange Views -> Collected to attacht the document to the main window again

So the issue must be that if the document is released above itself, it is not detached.

This one was the same before, it is docked in the group. But it should change the position of the tab, relative to the others

                  Yes, broken prefs setting.

I keep my prefs files just in case I need to revert back - I've tracked it down to where it happened and have both files (before and after it broke) if that's of any help in debugging the issue ? It actually happened back in v079 - don't know why I haven't noticed it since then :-))

@Igull Please send me the settings and workspace xml files by email. I always have the default and I cannot replicate here.

@Igull The "Lock All Panels" option is enabled, and this will also block docking of the document views.

Yes, I do that so I don't tear of my nicely organised panel interface 🙂

Should this option lock the document positions too ?? You would want to lock your interface certainly, but I would be inclined to leave the document positions alone - depends on how the rest think ???

Thanks for finding the cause 🙂
