Shape effect

I did apply a shape effect on an object with a mesh colour "gradient". It seems that there is a difference between the object (fill) and the stroke:

@VectorStyler I'm confused... is it a new feature to be able to get a stroke on an object with a colour mesh ? I didn't use VS for weeks but I think I remember that the objects on this file didn't have strokes ?

Yes, it was requested.
The problem here is that the shape effects cannot subdivide the mesh, but can subdivide the object shape.
