      I'm not sure if this is a bug, but when you move the object across the canvas with the cursor, the outline moves and the object stays in place. I think it would be better if the contour remained in the old position and the object followed the cursor. Currently, it is less readable and only after dropping the object we can tell if the new place is correct.

        @encart This happens when 'Direct Preview of Changes' is disabled in Preferences > Performance, and it is easier on the CPU than the other way around.

        MacBook Pro (Intel) running Monterey 12.6.4

            @encart When a very large number of objects are moved, or for some reason the redraw is slow, the contour mode is activated automatically even if the menu option is enabled.
