Paths Unexpectedly Deleted and Not Selectable

I am having paths be unexpectedly Deleted or Not Selectable.
I’m not sure if Offset Path is causing this or other situations may trigger it.

Start a New Document (File New Document)
Make sure Layers Panel Is open (Panels>Layers)
Preferences (Options>Outlined New Objects checked/enabled)
Layers Flyout Menu> Enable both Select Highlighted and Highlight Selected
.Example Steps to recreate the problem:
Step 1. Create a Rectangle
Step 2. Click on a Fill Color Swatch to give it a Fill Color
Step 3. Object>Shapes>Offset Path. Enter a Step value of 1, Enter a Distance value
Step 4. Switch to Pointer Tool in Toolbox by clicking the icon
Step 5. Click on original Rectangle (inner path) to select it
Step 6. Click on the None (No Fill) Icon in the Swatches Panel
Result after step 6:
- The Offset Path Object Disappears from the artboard
- All Thumbnails in Layers Panel become Transparent (Checkerboard)
- Outline Preview is not accessible (clicking on it changes nothing)

Step 7. Click on a blank space on the Artboard (to deselect the Rectangle)
Result after step 7:

No Objects can be selected on Artboard with Pointer tool (neither with click on path outline- if even visible- or Marquee Click and Drag)

All Thumbnails remain Transparent

Object is properly deselected From Artboard and Layers Panel (but is still transparent)

Rectangle can be selected again in Layers Panel (but is still transparent)

The Offset path item is shown in Layers Panel, but selecting does not make object appear on Artboard (but is still transparent)

@Vector-Rock A Command+R (refresh document) will fix the issue (as a workaround for now). Will be fixed in the next build.
