@monsterfox Yes, it still contains some cached Shape Builder state info. This can be removed with Object -> Shape -> Clear Shape Builder State

@VectorStyler I found that playing with noise effect gave a huge file size - like 600 MB. Is there a way to minimize this size?

I've noticed that disabling "History" and "Activity info" in Document Setup /
General tab reduces file size significantly.

AutoCad software has a useful tool called "Purge" - you can delete all unused styles, layers, cached objects, etc. After selecting this tool, a window pops up on which you can choose elements to purge.

@Harry Storing history is the one that can most impact file size.
Otherwise, imported images might be left (Links panel) in the document.

@VectorStyler I love the history panel and activity info options and I always keep them active when I am creating a design in case there's an issue I run into or if I need to go back and make an edit or alternative version of the art. Once the project is over and the art is complete, I rarely need the history and activity info anymore, so I usually erase them at that point.
Perhaps a "purge option that makes it easy for the user to checkmark all options to be purged would be helpful - then this can be accomplished easily in one overall action
