How to I get pdf crop marks without losing spot colors in VS?

Please see attached image.

1. Bleed and slug in cmd-e It makes no sense: Output is cropped anyway. Also "Convert Colors" (spots) is not available in cmd-p and thus invisible.
2. I simply cannot make VS' bleed function work. It seems always to set crop marks by the overhanging (to be cropped) objects. Am I doing it wrong?
