My goal was to duplicate an object around the transform origin. I did manage to achieve it, but it took some trial and error:

      A few things...

      1. I first tried Move by pressing Enter to try this method of moving the transform origin to a spot where I could duplicate a shape around that point. For example, creating a flower design...
I could get the transform origin to snap as-needed. When I changed "Apply to" to "copies" and changed Repeat to >1, it resets its position.

Side note: I needed to press Enter multiple times to trigger the dialog. This is fairly consistent issue for me with that UI.

      1. When trying a method I read about on the forum using Object > Transform > Transform. I tried the same method using Copies and it works fine.

      2. Should note that the "Transform" option in that menu is missing the "..." to indicate it opens up a dialog. That can lead to confusion for some.

      3. When adding calculations into the Rotation field, I was able to use "360 / x-number" successfully, whereas with the Transform... dialog, it would not take the math I put in.

@debraspicher I opened a bug on this, but some things are not clear.

in (1), when pressing Enter, sometimes this might be received by some field or button if that was clicked last time. It helps if you click first on the selected object and then press enter.

        (3) the "..." seems to be an error on the windows version, throughout the whole menu.

        (4) this worked for me in the dialogs I tried. Which

Yes, sometimes I use the Pointer tool and click the Canvas/Viewport to make sure it has full focus and then Enter may work, but occasionally it takes a few presses. It's inconsistent. There's many situations where focus is broken with regard to shortcuts in the UI. It is definitely worse when more than one View is open.

Regarding #4, it looks like your reply was cut off.
