I can reproduce this again and again - not introduced recently or in v1.2, old issue

      • Be zoomed in on something on the page
      • Minimize VS.
      • Let some time pass (usually a while, not just a couple of minutes).
      • Restore VS window.
      • The window is repositioned or something similar; the content shifts positions or something similar, I can't quite figure it out.
      • Are the panning values changed or something similar?

I have to replicate this, but it could be that it restores the document to some default state.

@VectorStyler The second and third points I often encounter. In the case of the second point, only VS is in use in the taskbar, and it is in a maximized state. When you click the VS program in the taskbar to minimize it, many panels will be left and cannot disappear. In the case of the third point, after you switch to another program and use it for a few minutes and return to VS, if you don't click any tools, the status bar, or right-click with the mouse, you can only pan the screen, and the shortcut key to switch tools also fails.

Just encounted it again - this time VS zoomed in. It happened when I returned to VS after some time in Google Chrome, and double clicked a node. VS jumped closer to the node when I did that.

Might explain why the canvas always ends up offset for me.
