Color Variations incorrect display color value first steps

My appreciation for the huge and rapid step forward in release 1.2.031 regarding Color Variations. Yet something is still wrong.
It seems that with all Step and Group settings the first color value both left and right of the center is equal to the color value of the center (selected color). A few examples...
