Embedded raster images that have a copy are often both affected by image trace

I noticed that if I have two copies of the same embedded raster image and then select one of them to perform the image trace on, both copies are affected, not just the one I have selected. Here is a video showing this
In the images below, I just have one of the fire images selected - the screen capture makes it hard to show that selection when taking a screen shot
