@Jono Thank you. Your method uses circles to create a blending effect. It's simple, but requires stitching and is a bit tedious.

Achieving this metaball/Truchet tile effect seems like the easiest step to take.
To get that halftone effect too is, at least, where my brain stop working.
          .
          .
@Li-Xiao , did a Tutorial a while ago which works via the Repeater.

          .

Just for inspiration. Here's a video from the Paragraphic YouTube
channel showing how to create a similar pattern. I mentioned Paragraphic
          in another tread already.

Here the Link to the video

A search on Youtube "Metaball pattern", "Blob Pattern", "Truchet pattern"
          may also be helpful.

Maybe Li Xiao's method is indeed needed to complete this. Your information is very helpful. It's likely a combination of halftone and Truchet pattern. You can also take a look at that video.

Yes, doing things that way would be time consuming to say the least!

I'm going to look at the Repeater videos and resources (thanks Li-Xiao). I know I'm missing out so much of what VS can really do.

@Subpath This damned program—I’ve been using it for a year, and the more you use it, the more you realize there’s so much you don’t understand. I’ve never come across this in any other program. It’s a bottomless pit, haha.

Because I like to explore, find new things, new paths, and be surprised.
I am in heaven with VS. ☺
