Problems with Curvature Tool

When using the curvature tool I encountered three problems.
The first one is that when there is one shape (a shape that is made of nodes) selected and you start to make a new shape the selected one will be deleted. When there are more than one shapes are selected; one will be deleted and the other ones will be duplicate shapes of the shape that you make with the curvature tool.
The second problem is that when you are making a shape with the curvature tool I sometimes forget to hold the Shift key for corner nodes. Then I will automatically press the Esc key and try to make the corner, but the curve from the last line will become a straight line.
The last problem that I encountered is that when you edit a curvature shape (made with the curvature tool) with the node tool all the corner nodes will become smooth nodes.
