Lag related to amount of artboards

    Hi! Im fully testing VS, sorry if im flooding too much about it. Just say it to me if better to wait a little between messages, or is ok. My testing goes related with my job that is make some little books, sometimes not so little. So, layout capabilities of VS are nice to me.
    Im seeing that some of the lag issues are related to the amount of content of the document.
    I made a test with an empty A4 document, with empty 64 artboards, and 512 artboards. For graphic design it has no sense, but if you are doing an illustrated book, is not so uncommon thing.
    What i got is that even the document is empty, VS lags when big amounts of artboards are added. I see the lag comparing the behaviour of moving an image inside a single artboard doc, compared with multiple artboard one.
    Im far to be a programmer. Not sure what is the cause. Im will refering to some other programs only for reference. I use Pageplus a lot. Very nice&old program. It becomes a little slow when you start adding lot of pages and images. Opening a book with 252 pages with images can be slooow. But with their new Affinity, that would be the niece of Pageplus, a similar project is opened altmost instantly. Im not sure where is the trick, but maybe content is not loaded until you are not focusing on a given page. Far from me to teach programming, only describing my user experience. Maybe usefull.
    Maybe im pushing too much the limits and purposes of VS about page layout. But in any case, i believe that my experience on it could be informative..

    @marce Are these artboards on a single canvas? Send me a file by email to support at vectorstyler.com.

    Also: you can test how to use multiple canvases in VS (similar to multiple Spreads in DTP apps), with the Canvas and Artboards panel
