Overlay effect needs improvement

The Spacing for the Overlay effect needs improvement. Right now, the minimum spacing is limited to 1pt, but I need it to support 0 or negative values.

But the Space is used only if closed shapes are overlayed.
If the overlay contains open shapes this field is ignored.

I know it only works on closed shapes. Thanks!
