Pan view jumps while using pen tool

This video shows what happened when I attempted to hand trace this very rough raster I sketched.
First, the entire pen created object moves away before the entire pan view jumps elsewhere.
You can see after the first fail at 0:11, I did a few undos and tried again. Results was not any better.
I'm guessing its because I pulled the tool too far away from the last node to create the arch I wanted.

Yes, this is a bug in the current build when the mouse goes outside of the document view (or into an overlapping panel).
The next build will contain the fix. -
