[Pen Tool] [Win10] [1.0.045] First segment not showing preview

On using the pen tool the very first segment is not showing.

To replicate:
Click on canvas, release. Starting node (triangle) is visible, segment preview is not. Click for next node: first segment is drawn, second segment preview is visible. From here it works as expected.

Same when drawing a curve: click and drag on canvas, release. Starting node & handle are visible, segment preview is not. When placing the second node, the first segment is drawn, and the preview for the second segment is now shown. Again from here it works as expected.

Preferences > Changing options > Show Segment IS enabled.
