Colour tab not keeping settings in New Document Setup

I am having a challenge when creating a new document using the New Document Setup command. I am on a PC platform with Windows 10.
Steps taken:
• Click on Colour tab to set up colour
• Click on Artboard tab to set up document size
• Click on Colour tab again to confirm settings and I experience the following:
The chosen Colour Rendering Intent (in this case Perceptual) will revert back to Absolute Colorimetric.
Also my desired profile will revert back to Default.
