New shape editor tool lasso selection option stops functioning

The new shape editor lasso selection option stops functioning if VS has been open for more than a couple hours.
Here is a video where I'm trying to use the new lasso function in the shape editor tool and it's just giving me a standard box selection. If i restart VS, it reverts back to how it is supposed to be. I will send you the file if it helps anything -
@Boldline I will try to replicate this, it may take some time.
It does not look like it is the issue with the file. Would saving and closing and then reopening the file restore the lasso tool function? -
yes, saving the file, closing and restarting VS solves it temporarily. Eventually it loses function again within 30 min

@vectoradmin This is still an issue in the newest VS build. Am I the only one with this issue?
It occasionally works for me and then the function goes away and stays that way for long periods of time. It's a shame because I love the function and want to use it a lot.
Sometimes restarting VS fixes it, but not often. -
@vectoradmin I have a machine running intel, another with the M1 chip and a windows laptop. I'm going to test the function out on all three and see if I can find anything worth sharing about how or when it occurs
