Node selections should disappear immediately when selected object gets locked

Could there be a visual change to how things look when something gets locked down? In this case for example, I selected the white border edge among other things and after pressing the lock, the nodes remained there until I clicked away. It's a small detail, but it makes a differece in confirming the action was accomplished
