Save warning dialog box when original save location unavailable

I had created a design in VS and saved to a USB thumb drive. I used that drive elsewhere and forgot to reinsert it into the original machine I had used to create the design. The design was still open on my machine even though the drive was not connected. I was adding to the design and went to save it using the red button at the bottom and nothing happened. I pressed it a couple more times before I remembered I needed the source drive to save it to.
I reinserted the original thumb drive and the red button worked flawlessly as expected.
I say all that to ask if there could be a dialog box pop up warning or else a "new save location" option for times like this when the original source location is missing, it alerts the user of this and offers to save it elsewhere, treating it as if it were a completely new unsaved design file -
