Moving a vector object or text between two open files set to be side by side - crashes VS

When I try to transfer a vector object or a live text between two open VS native files sitting side by side (I used Panels>Two columns to set that up), it crashes Vectorstyler each time. I tried twice, once with a vector object and once with a live text object - same result
