Double click on text place the cursor in unexpected places

I'm experiencing this problem since a while. When I want to activate text mode cursor is showing in weird places. Sometimes two letters from place I have clicked, other next to it. Here in video jumped to another block of text ( these two were initialy a one block of text splitted into lines by 'Split text'.

@encart I could not fully replicate first issue, but there are some cursor positioning problems when double clicking.
The second problem can be replicated easily.
Added this to the backlog.
