I ran into an oddity with the gradient for strokes.

I thought that was normal at first.
But I think it looks more like a bug.

I am able to give a closed stroke/curve with the Gradient Editor
      an arbitrarily running color gradient.

But with an open stroke/curve this does not work ?
Would like that Gradiend Editor works on open Strokes
      as well.

The mystery is if i open that closed Stroke/Curve which
has a Gradient it seem it works then.

But see the Video for the Mystery

@Subpath I added this to the backlog, could be a gradient editor issue.
