@Ingolf It is not clear what is the issue, from the recording. Please be more specific.

@VectorStyler From what I can see in his video, it appears the pen tool cursor icon is replaced with an arrow cursor icon and then after editing the line width, that same cursor turns into a circle.

            Got it now!

For some reason not everything was recorded correctly.

              • Initially when drawing I see no pen icon pointer but the default arrow shaped pointer
              • When I do something like increasing the stroke width it turns into the pen pointer (that was screen recorded as a circle, weird, but I saw the pen)

I see it on two Windows 10 machines but not macOS nor my Windows 11 setup (that is perhaps closer to defaults).

                  The pattern is the same:

                  • first I see (and work with) the arrow shaped pointer
                  • sometimes it changes to another shape when I change the attributes of the stroke
                  • I have seen - and drawn with - a text cursor, hand shaped cursor and a color picker cursor
                  • a few times I did see the pen shaped pointer, sometimes for a period of time, sometimes just briefly

The two victim setups are probably based upon config files originally from my mac - I will mail the config files Thursday and check if temporarily removing the custom setup on these machines solves the problem.

This is probably an edge case - but ironing out the root cause is probably a good idea anyway.

@VectorStyler E-mailed you the settings but quickly found the root cause:

Disabling 'Detect Hovering Node' causes this:

@Ingolf Got it! And thanks for identifying the root cause, I will fix this ASAP.

We'll it isn't - but toggling that state immidiately turns the pen icon on.
