This issue was there way back but later fixed. Now again it is there in this build. I am trying to make the shape like is the left side but when I drag while closing the path the first segment between the first and second node also changes.

@VectorStyler I recently reset the Preferences. I don't know if its after that Shift key doesn't constrain the line in pen tool. In this recording the entire line was drawn keeping Shift key pressed. You will see that sometime it constrain, sometime it make a control handle.
