Improvements
- Menu command to clear content transform from selected objects.
- Merge nodes at center, button in Path panel and Context panel.
- Add a color picker to the gradient panel, to select color stops.
- Clicking with the artboard tool on a group to create an artboard of that size.
- Use on / off mode for tools when activated with shortcuts.
- Default multi page PDF importing to place all pages on a single canvas.
- Better support for JIS alternates.
- Artboard drag and drop between canvases to position artbaord and its content correctly.
- Show stroke width options while the node tool is active.

- Closing the path with the Pen tool should not create smooth node if the first segment is a line.
- Palette saved as preset should be accessible in palette drop down of the modal color editor.

Color picker doesn't pick color neither from color panel nor from gradient panel

@Jayanta-Das I tried to replicate this both on Mac and Windows, but seems to be working here (color and gradient).
Could be some local settings issue, try a settings/workspace reset.

Some Pen tool issues, I will post it in detail.

After updating via VectorStyler's Help\Check For Updates, Revo Uninstaller shows previous build also. It could be messy after several updates.
Is it meant or should we update manually?

@VectorStyler I remember after the release of Affinity V2 you mentioned that you didn't want users to be disappointed when 1.2 came along . Looking at the number of small improvements you've made in the meantime, I think, at least here on the forum, we can turn a blind eye to many things:) However, I don't think this will be necessary.

@encart I had mentioned something similar to @VectorStyler the other day. Even if 1.2 is released not "complete" (according to @VectorStyler standards) and then adds things in and updates it as he goes along afterward, no one is going to complain or think less of him or compare it to the "other" recent big release. The pace of bux-fixing build releases has slowed some over the last few months compared to the typical torrid pace, but that's the only sign we can see that 1.2 is the focus on the background. As @encart mentioned, the quality of bug fix builds despite working on 1.2 at the same time has been amazing. Seeing the issues still get fixed consistently and even a few new add-ons to boot has made it easier to wait on 1.2's eventual release.

It should remove the previous version on Windows. If not, this is a bug in the installer.
Does it show up twice in the add/remove programs?

There is good progress made on that target also, but it is not going to be ready this (calendar) year.

There is no need to rush from my side, and not everything has to be super perfect.
My appreciation for VectorStyler will not diminished in the least.

Is this working? I tried both with a group and with a selection of objects and
clicking (or double-clicking) the Artboard tool doesn't create an artboard
around the selection, and neither clicking or double-clicking the objects
does anything.

@b77 I wondered too. Group the objects and move them outside the artboard area. If you click , when they are not selected then a new artboard will be created. https://recordit.co/LimXtzH3Na

I wanted to test this feature and accidentally discovered that hover over these icons has the same result as clicking:

Replicated here. You need to disable 'Preview Shape Combine' in Prefs > Document Editor for now to avoid this.

On a side note, I noticed today that if this is selected, anything you scroll over will be added to the history panel as if it were an applied step. @VectorStyler is there a way to not "count" these in the history until clicked on?

This is a bug.
