@VectorStyler In my case, moving objects using arrows doesn't work at all.

@VectorStyler I could go back and install 68 and try that. I think it was a 70 and 71 build issue but I'm not 100% positive now. Yes this is on the M1 mac mini. Tomorrow I'll try it on the laptop m1 and also on the Intel mac and see if I can replicate it there.

Could it be that the shortcuts for this were changed.
See what is assigned to the arrow keys in the shortcut customization view.

Seemingly everything was ok in the shortcuts settings, but I changed the assignments and reassigned the arrows and now it works.

There is a problem with the assignment of the up and down arrows. Instead of saving as a shortcut they go to the row above/below in the list.

              Will fix this.

@VectorStyler I tried moving shapes on the M1 mac laptop running build 71 and did not have the slowdown issues like I described earlier on the M1 Mac Mini. Perhaps I have a preferences setting issue?

Yes,, it could be. If you send me the settings and workspace files, I will try to replicate this.

@Boldline Could be caused by the "Show Position in Ruler" settings.

@VectorStyler I have not changed any settings yet - but I did upgrade to build 72 and the issue is not recurring - so that is good right? 🙂

@VectorStyler ok could this be related to settings for a single file? I pulled up an old file from the other day when I was having this issue and the problem remains there, but not in any new file. I'll send you the file in question

Yes, it could be related to the color settings of a file.
Here I partially replicated (with mouse dragging) with the "Show Position in Ruler" option turned on.

@VectorStyler ok I turned off the "Show Position in Ruler" , saved and closed and reopened the file itself and now it's working correctly.
