How to fake a 3D cylinder

Have been playing around a bit with how to create a cylinder
(Cylindrical objects) in VS.
Of course only until VS has 3D tools

Came up with this solution.

Create a circle, create a clone of that circle.
Create a rectangle and set it up so that it has a
has a cylindrical shape.

If you resize original Circle e.g. to a Ellipse
the clone will follow.

You can extend this, because its also possible
to replace the Circle with another Object a Square
or others. With the help of the "Shape Picker Tool"
