@Pat , Thank you, usually I tinker around for a while what options there are to create something like this But it's the tools and options in VectorStyler that make such a workflow possible

Here are a few experiments with Noise Blur i made. Created the gradient here using blend. (a yellow and a blue stroke and blend it). On top of that a Gaussian Blur for smoother color transition and the Noise Blur Effect. Whereby everything, thanks to VectorSyler, remains editable.

@VectorWhiz said in Realistic vector portrait created in VectorStyler: @Subpath In the future I hope to be able to make video tutorials, but at this point I am still unfamiliar with video editing. I don't remember if you work on PC or Mac. If it is on PC then I can recommend a nice little Tool for Gif Screen recording. It's called "ScreenToGif". No real video editing but a few things can be easily recorded with it. So to speak as a starter

@Victor-Vector Thanks for the structured graphic image; impressed by how you composed it. Basically why I love VS is its obvious effort to innovate and strive for functional completeness. Bugs are swiftly corrected while new functionality is added. I specialise in drawing realistic vector portraits and VS is among the programs best suited to do this type of work. I've worked with all serious contenders for decades, Freehand excepted, and VS holds the promise to blow its competition out if the water, so I follow its development with great interest.

@William-Kansepa Not a tutorial, but a few notes: there are no master artboards in VS, only master canvases. use the canvas panel to navigate the various canvas types and collections. use the Canvas -> Master Canvas -> Change Master Canvas command to select a master canvas for the current canvas. this will show the artboards, layers and objects on that master canvas on the current canvas.

@Jayanta-Das Thank you And by the way it reminds me that I don't specify the system I use and that I assume that everything works the same way in Windows or Mac. @PatrickM Thank you ! The purpose of these videos is to make people discover VS and I'm glad every time people enjoy them, despite the sometimes clumsy way they are done.

Also remember that you can copy and paste styles and image effects which can sometimes be a lot faster depending on how you work. I added an extra paste submenu to this menu: and keep some tools handy in same menu as well:
