Icon option for named Panel Tabs?

I imagine this idea has been suggested before, so here is my vote for it.
Perhaps there could be an option to use Icons instead of, or in the front of the docked panel tab name labels in the interface. This would allow for easy tab identification and more tabs in the docked panel areas.
I seem to be experiencing some panel tab glitches where some of the labels are not visible in areas where there is enough room for them. It looks like the area has only one panel! Other panel clusters do not do this, so I am not sure what is going on, but it is one of the reasons for the request.

@Victor-Vector Docking too many panels into one place can be problematic.
I will try to improve this.
