Canvas (background) color to white?

  • Is there a way to set the canvas (background of the artboard) color to white? It's nice to have an artboard contour line but the medium gray background of the canvas is rather restrictive, constricting and compulsive. I'm used to park around the artboard a lot of artwork parts. The gray is a bit sad and changes the context of the parts quite a bit and it doesn't feel free. After all, we are creatives and love freedom.

  • @Ayo Yes, you can change it in File > Document Setup > Guides > enable 'Canvas Color'.

  • @b77 Guides? I'm not going to look there. But thanks anyway. Found it. Better this way. The light goes on.
Now the artboard name should have some more contrast. That is probably asking too much.

    No. Found it!
A bit hidden under Preferences > Artboards > Artboard Label (Typeface selector). When you hover over the pop-up menu says there is more to select than just Typeface.

  • @Ayo Nice!
