Why the "Place" tab in Artboard Options dialog is sometimes there and sometimes it isn't?

  • Why is it that in some cases the "Artboard Options" dialog contains a placement tab (Place) and in other cases it doesn't?

    1. Create a new document with an artboard.
    2. Create another artboard. Now you have two (Artboard1 and Artboard2).
    3. In the Canvas Panel select Artboard2.
    4. In the top context/properties toolbar of the window press the "Artboard Options" button. (Alternatively, you can select the Canvas > Artboard Options in the menu.) In the dialog there's no artboard placement options ("Place" tab) that would allow you set the horizontal and vertical position of the selected artboard.
    5. Close the dialog.
    6. In the Canvas Panel (Artboard2 is still being selected), at the bottom, press the first icon on the left (Edit the selected canvas or artboard attributes). Alternatively, in the Canvas Panel's menu select "Artboard Options...".
    7. Now you have the placement tab (Place) visible in the Artboard Options dialog.

So the question is, why is there a Place tab in the Artboard Options dialog when it is invoked from the Canvas Palette's icon or menu (or from the palette's icon at the bottom), but the Place tab is missing when you invoke the Artboard Options from the context/properties toolbar (or from the Canvas > Artboard Options... menu)?

They are both for the currently selected Artboard.

@pentool The Place tab is not shown when the app edits options of multiple artboards.
But I have to check why does it think that there are multiple artboards selected in this case, could be a bug.
